The Skills Acquisition organized by the National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS) NHQ and facilitated by Vice President II, Comrade Idrees Mubarak AlMogaji (Mubby Nation), has completed with accumulated numbers of participants ranging to 150 benefiting from the initiative.
The acquisition, which took across the three Federal Constituencies in Osun West Senatorial District, was aimed to empower students in hands-on training involving Liquid Soap Making, Izal Production, and Air Freshener.
The first phase of the initiative took place at the FELSU National Secretariat on 30th Nov. 2024 and had participants across Ede/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency.
The second phase of the program was also held at Ikoyi Hall on the 7th of December, 2023 for participants across the Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan Federal Constituency.
The third phase, which was also the grand finale of the empowerment program, also took place at the Iwo LGA NULGE Hall on Dec. 14, 2024, having participants across Ayedire/Iwo/Ola-oluwa Federal Constituency.
The NAOSS Vice President II, who's also the Chairman of Osun West Indigenous Students, Comrade Idrees Mubarak AlMogaji (Mubby Nation), confirmed that about 150 students benefited from the just concluded initiative, with most of the participants showing eagerness to venture into putting the knowledge they have accumulated into practice.
In discussion with our correspondent, Comrade AlMogaji showed his gratitude to the Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Akogun Lere Oyewumi, for his financial support in sponsoring the program and also appreciated Hon. Dr Moshood Kamal Okunola for his kind gesture and rendering support during the program.
Comrade AlMogaji also acknowledged the support of the NAOSS National President, Comrade Akinnibi Mifatau, the Secretary, Comrade Quadril Olayiwola (VanAbility), and league of leaders in the senatorial district who rendered support during the planning of the initiative; Ldr. Fatai Agoro, Hon. Elisha Minister (Honorable Representing Ayedire at OSHA), Com. Seun, Com Oyegoke Akintayo (Teewhy), Com Olayanju Kolapo (Africa), and Com Animasahun Adekunle (Efficiency)
He also appreciated all indigenous presidents in Osun West for their support and cooperation during the program and also appraised and appreciated Comr. Bello Hammed A. (BEENCASH), Comr. Babalola Ademola S. (Heritage), and Comr. Keefa Abeeb (Salesman) for their support during the planning and all through the program.
He concluded his words by saying this initiative was aimed to be more effective than this, but the lack of funding limited the scope and impact, he therefore called on political officeholders and people in the community to invest and partner with student associations to finance and increase the scope and frame of the initiative beyond Osun West Senatorial District.
