A SHARED COMMITMENT TO COMMUNAL GROWTH; BALOGUN JORJOR FOOTBALL COMPETITION.

The spirit of unity and camaraderie reached its pinnacle on October 1st, 2023, as Iwoland came together to celebrate the grand finale of the Balogun Jorjor Football Competition at the Oluwo Stadium, marking Nigeria's Independence Day. 

Distinguished dignitaries, including Oluwo of Iwoland, Alh. Gboyega Oyetola (the Minister for Marine and Blue Economy), Akin Ogunbiyi, Omoba Dotun Babayemi, Alh. Debo Badru, Rt. General Lamidi Adeosun, Giwa, Alarape, Hon Diekola Ismail, and a host of other esteemed personalities, graced the occasion, demonstrating their unwavering support for the power of sports in fostering unity and positive change.

In a heartfelt statement, Hon. Abeeb Muyiwa Abdulameed, the Convener of the Balogun Jorjor Football Competition, expressed profound gratitude to all who contributed to the event's success. He particularly acknowledged the instrumental support of Oba Dr. Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanni, the Oluwo of Iwoland, whose royal and fatherly guidance elevated the event to new heights.

Football, as a unifying force, brought diverse communities together at the grassroots level, nurturing shared passion, teamwork, and understanding among individuals from various backgrounds. Hon. Abeeb Muyiwa Abdulameed emphasized the transformative power of football, highlighting its ability to address social issues and promote inclusivity within local communities.

The Convener, Hon. Abeeb Muyiwa Abdulameed extended heartfelt appreciation to the Oluwo of Iwoland, Alh Gboyega Oyetola, Chief Akin Ogunbiyi, Alh. Debo Badru, Alh. Adebayo Rovet, Omoba Dotun Babayemu, Lt. General L.O Adeosun, Hon Diekola Ismail, Dr Tunde Alarape, Giwa Quadri, Debo Badru Junior, Asler, Amiloaded, IwolandHub, Alh Aloma, Barr Kulukulu, Engr Lasun, religious Leaders, Community Leaders, All APC Party Members, Friends, and everyone who traveled from far and wide across the Local Government to join the Independence Day celebration.

Hon. Abeeb Muyiwa Abdulameed expressed gratitude to the passionate Iwoland youth for their overwhelming turnout and acknowledged the support of family members, appreciating the dedicated efforts of security personnel, including the DPO, Jamatu Tawun Jaysuhl, Amotekun, OPCI, and CADET. Special thanks were extended to the committee led by Zakoo, the coaches, Master of Ceremonies Okoro and Bojuri, and the outstanding DJ O Crouch.

The event also paid tribute to late leaders, Late Ajadi Asaliwa and Late Elder Tunde Akinlawon, whose contributions to the development of Iwoland were honored with respect and gratitude.

In conclusion, Hon. Abeeb Muyiwa Abdulameed thanked everyone for joining in the celebration of the second edition of the BALOGUN JORJOR FOOTBALL CUP. He invoked the blessings of Almighty God for continued accomplishments and successes, uniting the community under the banner of progress and togetherness.

BALOGUN JORJOR SETS TO CELEBRATE OYETOLA, LT. GENERAL LAMIDI ADEOSUN (Rtd), DOTUN BABAYEMI, ASLER, AND OTHERS IN GRAND SPORTING EVENT

The group stage of the most thrilling football competition, hosted by the illustrious Hon. Abeeb Muyiwa Abdulameed BALOGUN JORJOR, has came to a thrilling conclusion yesterday. The riveting match between ROVET FA IWO and SUPREME FC IWO, held at the esteemed Oluwo Stadium in Iwo, with a 3-1 victory in favor of ROVET FA Iwo, the team has secured their place in the next round of the tournament. 

Notably, this knockout stage saw participation from more than 26 professional teams across Osun State, making it a remarkable sporting spectacle, such as haven't been referenced in the history of the state.

As gathered by our correspondence, the visionary tournament organizer, BALOGUN JORJOR, appreciate all participating teams and congratulated the teams who are advancing to the next round. He expressed profound gratitude to the enthusiastic spectators for their unwavering support and extended his hearty congratulations to the victorious teams, wishing them all a well contended matches as the competition continues.

Looking ahead, the organizer of the competition has intimate us that the Semi - Final Match of the competition will be play at the prestigious LANRE ADELEKE ACADEMY STADIUM in Ile-Ogbo on September 26th. This initiative stands as a beacon of unity, fostering camaraderie among the local governments within the hosting community, Iwoland.

The grand finale, however, is scheduled to take place at Oluwo Stadium, is promise to be an action-packed event on October 1st, 2023, in commemoration of the Independence Day. This auspicious event will encompass three key components: the championship showdown, an awards ceremony, and a benevolent free medical outreach program, all aimed at benefiting the local populace, and any other outsiders that may make it to the event venue.

In an outstanding recognition to those who have significantly contributed to the development of sports and demonstrated unwavering dedication to the growth of youth, a select group of prominent and influential figures will be celebrated during the final ceremony. These distinguished personalities include the former Governor of Osun State, His Excellency GBOYEGA OYETOLA, LT. GENERAL LAMIDI ADEOSUN (Rtd), OMOOBA DOTUN BABAYEMI, ASLER, HON. (CHIEF) ISMAIL DIEKOLA ADEFOWOPE, DR. TUNDE ALARAPE, HON. MUYIWA KULUKULU, HON. GIWA QUADRI, HON. DEBO BADRU JUNIOR, HON. MUSA FREEDOM, ALHAJA MUJIDAT YAYI ALOOMA, LATE HON. The visionary behind this remarkable event is none other than Hon. Abeeb Muyiwa Abdulamid, popularly known as Balogun JORJOR. He is the founder and coordinator of the BALOGUN JORJOR INITIATIVE, a socio-political movement dedicated to selfless service to humanity. As a devoted youth leader and experience society servant, he has served in various leadership capacities, including, but not limited to the National President of the Federation of Iwoland Students Union, the State Coordinator of the Tinubu-Shettima Ambassadors, and the State Coordinator of Youths for Tinubu Initiative, among others. His remarkable achievements, particularly within Iwoland, stand as a testament to his unwavering dedication to the betterment of his community and its youth.
