DOCUMENTARY: BRIEF INSIGHT INTO THE PROFILE OF FUTMINNA SUG EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

 How well do you know your executive? Have you been worried who your SUG Executives were? Worry no more, here are the basic things you should know about the Student Union Government Executive Arms of FUTMinna.

This current administration has been on for the past few months and will be preparing for another transition process for another administrative era to commence, how well do you then know the people at the helms of affairs?

#OSCODecides: SUG PRESIDENT-ELECT, COMR. LATEEF SODEEQ ADEWALE (PRUDENCE) GIVE FIRST OFFICIAL ADDRESS.



1. IT indeed was a very great contest at the poll, with a lot of things put in place, the power struggle indeed always comes with greater requirements, sacrifices, and more of an unyielding commitment to the seal, we have come this far. However, all these wouldn't count, if not for your unbending support and commitment to this course, thank you.


2. The course has started and the responsibility has been laid on our shoulders, we will not relent in our effort to ensure the sanity of our community is sustained, even within the time frame we have to operate.


3. While I appreciate the School Management for their role in this just concluded election, your quest to ensure a democratic transition played out is commended, thank you for your contributions to this election. As the President elects, I, alongside the executive body will be looking forward to sustaining a diplomatic relationship with you throughout this administrative and academic year.


4. To the Independent Student Electoral Commission, you have served transparently with integrity and given a chance for a good commendation from posterity, thank you for maintaining sanity throughout the electioneering process, and we look up to you to reciprocate the same for the in-house transition too.


5. To the leagues of leaders that backed me up, past office holders, present stakeholders, Faculty Presidents, Departmental Stakeholders, TBM Leaders, Ifon Leaders, and many more whose space won't be enough to reference in this broadcast, no amount of word gesture will be enough to commend your contributions to this feat, with your help have we traveled this far, thank you for accepting me for and as I am. Oliver Twist always asks for more, hence I plead your indulgence and continuous guidance as I will be officially mounting the responsibility axis of leadership, "I cannot follow the footsteps of giants, and end up being a dwarf."


6. To my opponent and partner in the field of struggle, Comr. Jamiu Faousy Olalekan AMBITIOUS, I must say, you are a great contender, and you worth the contest. As expected, there will always be someone who emerges, however, there's no looser, we are both a winner, I therefore implore and earnestly beckon you to join me in this quest to change the initiative of Students Unionism in OSCOTECH. I'm well aware of your vast knowledge and haply endowed in leadership proceedings, I hereby request you join in as we together pursue this course. This, I also extend to Comr. Adeagbo Sodiq Adeleke IMOLE, you have also written your name on the placard of gold and it will not go unnoticed. In due time, I'll be extending my official hands of invitation to the duo of you to join us on this journey, I hope you will accept this hands of partnership, for we cannot avoid to lose your potentials in this administration.


7. Fellow Elected Executives, Congratulations to us, we have fought a good fight, and have won, however, greater struggles lie ahead of us than we have ever fought, but I'm certain, it will only get better. I believe in the integrity of everyone, we all have what it takes to pilot this administration, and I'm sure we will beat the expectation. As we continue these proceedings, I plead your cooperation and better commitment, it is indeed time to "Struggle Towards A Just Cause".


8. To the greatest Nigerian Students I write; you are well aware of what we can do, hence, you saddled us with the responsibility of your trust, I assure you, we will not fail any of the commitments we received this day, we vouch for our commitment to the best interest of the masses, and no iota of injustice will sustain in this administration, we are here to return and maintain sanity in our Unionism, Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke will take his place again at the peak, I assure you that.


9. Putting all things in place from this time henceforth, till the due date of the official transition and handing over, I will be open to any idea, improvement, pieces of advice, and request from our students, do well to channel your quest to me, as I, alongside my other elected executive, will be putting your interest in consideration of all we will tends to do.


10. With the effort of having a very close interaction and communication with the Student Union President's Office, we will be creating a channel soon through which you will have access directly to the President without any iota of intimidation, and discrimination, we are for all and all, together, we will do better.


11. Once again, thank you all for your support, and cheers to the greater administrative era ahead of us all.

IWO LOCAL GOVERNMENT SECRETARIAT WEARS NEW LOOKS; COALITION OF YOUTH VANGUARD AMBASSADORS APPRECIATE IWO LGA CHAIRMEN ON NOTEWORTHY ACHIEVEMENT IN FEW MONTHS OF APPOINTMENT



It is worthy of note that the governance we have long quested has now been set in place here in Osun State. The Iwo Local Government Secretariat (Central) which has been in a state of dejected following the post-effect of the ENDSARS Protest in 2020 has now worn a new look having been rehabilitated and refurnished by the present Chairmen of the local government. 






Meeting the Secretariat in such a damaged and dilapidated state which the past administration failed to do despite spending over two years after the incident that led to the damage.


The damage which was said to have affected the working conditions and the effective running of the Secretariat has now been rehabilitated and such, propelled new dimensions of administrative excellence in operations, this we see as commendable and we appreciate the effort put in place by the present Chairmen led by Hon. Moshood Adekunle Kabiru (IRORUN) who is the Chairman, Iwo Central Local Government.




In less than Three months of being appointed Caretaker Chairmen, the three Chairmen in the Local Government Areas have respectively been referenced with commendable activities, one of which is seeing to this rehabilitation.

Not limited to that, it was reported that the Chairman of Iwo East LCDA Olomowewe, Hon. Tiamiyu Kamaldeen Adesina also donated a wholesome amount of money to sponsor the just concluded FILSU Summer Lesson Program which we see not forthcoming in the past administration in the land, the new dimensions of governance experience in this past few months of your appointments is commendable, and an actualization of the campaign promises.




The Coalition of Youth Vanguard therefore appreciates the Chairmen for this commendable act and prays they not relent in ensuring safe governance is been experienced in the region.

It indeed was a very short break, I hope it brought you the satisfaction of rest, and gives you the strength to plow ahead in the new semester.


We have engaged the proceedings again, with a rhyming tone of words, and the lecturers' engagement will unfold, a step above the other, a few miles away to success, I wish you great one this semester.


We all have gotten acquainted with the institution, I want to believe even the freshers are no longer novices to the module Operandi of the institution, therefore, I plead with you all, make hale while the sun shines.


As the President of the Senate, with everything in our capacI assureuring you that we will facilitate means to ensure a safe institutional community is ensured, that's a promise on our part.

COMR. ANISHERE JOSHUA DECLARES INTENTION FOR NANS NATIONAL SENATE PRESIDENT

 Greatest Nigerian Students! 


I, Comr. Anishere Joshua (Fabulous), with the tag "Invocable Mission," hereby expresses my unwavering commitment and intent to serve as the Senate President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) under the Tai Solarin University of Education and Ogun State Unity Ticket. It is with great enthusiasm and a profound sense of responsibility that I present myself to Nigerian students for this esteemed aspiration. 



My decision to contest for the office of Senate President is driven by my deep desire to effect positive impacts within the NANS Senate and, most importantly, to bring genuine representation to the students we aim to proudly serve. I believe NANS is not just an association; it is an assembly of intellectuals, the voice of millions of Nigerian students who look up to us for leadership, advocacy, representation, support, and standing against every injustice and unfairness charged at them. 


My experience and antecedents in the realm of student activism have prepared me for this pivotal role. It is time to have strong, active, young, and vibrant students to lead the affairs of NANS. I have had the privilege of working closely with students' union presidents, who are NANS senators, in various capacities. I am confident in this hands-on involvement in the students' struggle and believe it has equipped me with the necessary insights and capacity to lead the Senate effectively in legislating the affairs of NANS. I am well aware of the challenges that Nigerian students face, and I am prepared and committed to addressing them head-on through sound legislation and proactive representation. 


If elected as President of the NANS Senate, it is my desire and preparedness to foster a harmonious working relationship with the executive leadership of NANS. I do not doubt that, together, we will collaborate to midwife initiatives that not only address the immediate needs of Nigerian students but also lay the foundation for a brighter and stronger representation for all. I firmly believe in that synergy, that a united and purpose-driven NANS leadership can bring about the active and effective representation that Nigerian students deserve. 


I humbly request your support, prayers, and trust as I embark on this journey to contest for the position of Senate President of NANS. Together, we can elevate NANS to greater heights of excellence and ensure that the voices of Nigerian students are not just heard but respected and also acted upon. I am ready and dedicated to this mission, and I am committed to working tirelessly for our great association and Nigerian students, at home and in the diaspora.

BALOGUN JORJOR SETS TO CELEBRATE OYETOLA, LT. GENERAL LAMIDI ADEOSUN (Rtd), DOTUN BABAYEMI, ASLER, AND OTHERS IN GRAND SPORTING EVENT



The group stage of the most thrilling football competition, hosted by the illustrious Hon. Abeeb Muyiwa Abdulameed BALOGUN JORJOR, has came to a thrilling conclusion yesterday. The riveting match between ROVET FA IWO and SUPREME FC IWO, held at the esteemed Oluwo Stadium in Iwo, with a 3-1 victory in favor of ROVET FA Iwo, the team has secured their place in the next round of the tournament. 


Notably, this knockout stage saw participation from more than 26 professional teams across Osun State, making it a remarkable sporting spectacle, such as haven't been referenced in the history of the state.


As gathered by our correspondence, the visionary tournament organizer, BALOGUN JORJOR, appreciate all participating teams and congratulated the teams who are advancing to the next round. He expressed profound gratitude to the enthusiastic spectators for their unwavering support and extended his hearty congratulations to the victorious teams, wishing them all a well contended matches as the competition continues.


Looking ahead, the organizer of the competition has intimate us that the Semi - Final Match of the competition will be play at the prestigious LANRE ADELEKE ACADEMY STADIUM in Ile-Ogbo on September 26th. This initiative stands as a beacon of unity, fostering camaraderie among the local governments within the hosting community, Iwoland.


The grand finale, however, is scheduled to take place at Oluwo Stadium, is promise to be an action-packed event on October 1st, 2023, in commemoration of the Independence Day. This auspicious event will encompass three key components: the championship showdown, an awards ceremony, and a benevolent free medical outreach program, all aimed at benefiting the local populace, and any other outsiders that may make it to the event venue.


In an outstanding recognition to those who have significantly contributed to the development of sports and demonstrated unwavering dedication to the growth of youth, a select group of prominent and influential figures will be celebrated during the final ceremony. These distinguished personalities include the former Governor of Osun State, His Excellency GBOYEGA OYETOLA, LT. GENERAL LAMIDI ADEOSUN (Rtd), OMOOBA DOTUN BABAYEMI, ASLER, HON. (CHIEF) ISMAIL DIEKOLA ADEFOWOPE, DR. TUNDE ALARAPE, HON. MUYIWA KULUKULU, HON. GIWA QUADRI, HON. DEBO BADRU JUNIOR, HON. MUSA FREEDOM, ALHAJA MUJIDAT YAYI ALOOMA, LATE HON. The visionary behind this remarkable event is none other than Hon. Abeeb Muyiwa Abdulamid, popularly known as Balogun JORJOR. He is the founder and coordinator of the BALOGUN JORJOR INITIATIVE, a socio-political movement dedicated to selfless service to humanity. As a devoted youth leader and experience society servant, he has served in various leadership capacities, including, but not limited to the National President of the Federation of Iwoland Students Union, the State Coordinator of the Tinubu-Shettima Ambassadors, and the State Coordinator of Youths for Tinubu Initiative, among others.
